What goes wrong
Locks fail in a few predictable ways: a key snaps in the cylinder, a deadbolt jams, a latch sticks after a storm, a lock body is ripped or the strike plate is bent so the bolt won’t seat. We handle those immediate failures and the knock-on problems they cause, like a door that won’t stay closed or a cylinder that turns without engaging the bolt. In Sanatoga and nearby areas we get called for homes and small-business storefronts where the hardware has been forced, worn out, or damaged by a broken key.

What the job involves
When we arrive we inspect the visible components and decide the least-destructive method to regain entry or restore function. That can mean extracting a broken key, manipulating the cylinder to unlock, capping off a damaged mortise, or removing and replacing a ruined lock body. We carry a range of cylinders, deadbolts, tubular and rim locks, plus a portable key-cutting setup so we can make a working key on the spot. We drive out from Havertown with the tools and parts suited to the job.

Good to know
While we work we ask that a homeowner or manager remain on site to confirm ownership and show which lock needs attention. We recommend clearing the threshold and locking hardware so we can move freely, keeping children and pets at a safe distance, and locating any spare keys, alarm codes, or gate controls. It helps if someone can tell us whether the door has a reinforced strike, a mortise pocket, or a surface-mounted latch, and whether the key is a standard pin-tumbler, a dimple, or a wafer type; this speeds our diagnosis.

Worth knowing
We prefer non-destructive entry whenever the mechanism allows, but when a cylinder or lock is beyond repair we replace it with hardware that matches the door and frame: a solid deadbolt, a forged latch, a long-throw bolt, or a reinforced strike as needed. After securing the opening we can fit a temporary or permanent repair and cut new keys to code. If you want to plan ahead we can talk through better strike reinforcement, alternative latch types, or keeping a duplicate key in a secure spot. We serve Sanatoga and nearby townships including Pottsgrove and Limerick Township.
