What goes wrong
Cars lock out for simple mechanical reasons: the key gets left inside, a transponder fob stops communicating, a key shaft snaps in the ignition, or the latch and linkage seize from wear. In Sanatoga we see folded keys, keys trapped behind a seat, and trunks that won't release because the actuator has failed. We travel from Havertown in our van carrying tools and blanks; every job starts with a quick look to confirm whether the door can be opened without forcing the lock or the weatherstrip.

What the job involves
When we work a car lockout we aim to use the least invasive method that will get you back on the road. That can mean using a wedge and long-reach tool to push the unlock button, manipulating the lock cylinder with picks, extracting a broken key with fine tools, or removing a door panel when linkage is inaccessible. We cut and program replacement keys on site when the vehicle needs a new blade or electronic fob, and we explain the steps before we begin.

Good to know
While you wait we suggest you move to a safe spot off the roadway if that’s possible and keep children and pets with you. Have your photo ID and the vehicle registration handy so we can confirm ownership before starting work. In Sanatoga we deal with plain factory hardware and a lot of customized installs.
04
Worth knowing
For the fastest resolution have the vehicle identification number or a photo of the dash VIN, the year, make and model, and any spare key or fob information ready when you call. If you know the key code from the dealer or have a dealer-cut spare, bring that too. We come prepared from Havertown with blanks, cutting equipment, programmers and extraction tools, and we’ll let you know what we need to do to get the door open and make a working key. We also cover nearby towns such as Lower Pottsgrove Township when needed.
