About these

Where these come from

Every review on this page was left on the Google profile for this business. Nothing here is written by us, edited by us, or carried over from somewhere else, and nothing is quoted in part to make it read better than it was.

There is no count on this page on purpose. A number goes stale the week after it is written, and a site that leans on a figure from last year is telling you when it was last updated rather than what the work is like.

If you have had work done and want to say something about it, the Google profile is the place for it: it is the one nobody here can edit.

A review of a locksmith is worth reading for one thing above all: whether the person got in without wrecking the door. Almost anything can be opened by force, and a door, a frame or a lock case that has been forced is a bigger repair than the job that caused it. That is the part a customer notices weeks later, and it is the part that shows up in what people write.

The second thing worth reading for is whether the answer on the phone matched what happened. A job described honestly before anyone drives out is a job where nobody is surprised: not about what the lock turned out to need, not about whether the hardware could be saved, not about what had to be ordered. Vague on the phone tends to mean vague at the door.

What a review cannot tell you is whether the same thing will happen to your lock, because it will not. A key that snaps in a worn cylinder, a deadbolt that has moved with the house, a car that has lost its only key and a storefront that needs every door on one key are four different jobs with four different vans behind them. What a review can show you is the approach, and that carries over from one job to the next.
