What goes wrong
Homes and businesses call us when a lock jams, a key snaps, a deadbolt sticks, or a latch no longer lines up with the strike. Those are the kinds of failures that leave an entry useless or unsafe: a broken key stuck in a cylinder, a bolt that won’t fully extend because the door has shifted, or a reinforced glass panel with a compromised multi-point lock. We handle residential and commercial hardware, from simple knob locks and rim cylinders to heavy mortise locks and long-throw deadbolts, and we work on the actual metal and mechanics rather than guessing at the problem.

What the job involves
When we get the call we talk through what’s happening and come out from Havertown to the address. On arrival we inspect the door, frame and lock to decide whether we can pick and extract a broken key or whether the cylinder or lock body needs removal. We carry picks, extracting tools, replacement cylinders, and strike plates; if a lock is fatally damaged we can remove and fit a new unit and cut keys on site. If a lock must be drilled out to remove seized hardware we drill only when necessary and then fit a functioning replacement.

Good to know
While you wait it helps if you secure children and pets away from the door, clear any debris from the entry, and have photo ID and proof of occupancy or ownership ready to show us. If you can, bring any keys you still have, or take a quick photo of the lock and the broken key head to send us. Tell us about alarm systems, electronic strikes, or door closers that are acting up so we arrive prepared; if the frame is split or the door warped, mention that too, since that changes the repairs we’ll recommend for Limerick Township homes and businesses.

Worth knowing
After we make the entrance we explain what we did and why, showing you the old parts when we remove them and demonstrating the new hardware. We can rekey a cylinder to match existing keys, swap in a fresh cylinder or mortise lock, replace a worn strike with a reinforced one, or fit a longer-throw deadbolt where extra engagement is needed. We leave the lock working and test it with you, and we’ll describe simple maintenance and spare-key options so you don’t get stuck again. If you’re in Sanatoga or nearby and you have an emergency, call and tell us what failed so we can bring the right gear.
