I just moved into a Penn Wynne rowhouse, can you rekey the existing deadbolts and door hardware?
We can rekey most standard pin-tumbler cylinders by removing the lock, taking the cylinder to our van, and changing the pin stacks so a new key operates it. We recommend rekeying all exterior entry points to a single key or using separate keys per door, whatever keying system you prefer. We can also tell you if a cylinder is worn and needs replacement.
My front door lock keeps sticking in winter, can you fix or replace it?
We’ll check the cylinder, latch, strike plate, and door alignment. Often sticking comes from swollen wood, a misaligned strike, or a dirty cylinder; we can realign the strike, adjust the jamb, or clean and lubricate the cylinder with graphite. If the hardware is worn or a higher-security lock is desired, we can replace the deadbolt with a compatible unit and install it cleanly.
I lost my house keys and am worried someone could get in, so can you change the locks or make it secure?
You have two main options: rekey the existing cylinders so old keys no longer work, or replace the cylinders or entire locks for a different keyway or higher-security cylinder. We can rekey multiple locks to the same new key, install restricted-key cylinders, or fit compatible electronic locks depending on the door and hardware you already have.
