What goes wrong
We handle the kind of emergency calls that start with a door that won't latch, a key snapped in a cylinder, a deadbolt frozen after a storm, or an electronic keypad that refuses to accept codes. In Maple Glen we often find jambs swollen from moisture, worn mortise forks, and cylinders with broken tails that need careful extraction. We drive out from Havertown in a van stocked with replacement cylinders, deadbolts, latch assemblies, and picks for stubborn keyways. We explain the repair options on site and show you the parts so you know what we’re installing.

What the job involves
When we get to an emergency lockout, the first step is orderly access assessment: which doors and windows will let us work safely, whether a lock is visibly damaged, and whether hardware like a reinforced strike or a long-throw deadbolt is still aligned. We work on the lock in place whenever possible to save you having to replace trim or the whole door. If a cylinder needs removal, we take care not to damage surrounding wood or metal and we test replacement components before we finish so you leave with a functioning lock.

Good to know
While you wait for us, please gather photo ID and something that shows your connection to the property: a key card, mail with your name, or the deed paperwork if you have it on hand. We also ask you to clear a bit of space near the door, turn an exterior light on if it’s dark, and open any secondary access that’s already operable so we can work without obstructions. Should a child, a pet or anyone unwell be inside, call 911 and then call us.

Worth knowing
Emergency work often leads into preventative fixes: a worn latch replaced with a forged bolt, a knob set swapped for a sturdier mortise, or a keypad reprogrammed and its battery replaced. We’ll show you the failed parts and explain why they failed and what we recommend next so you can decide. If you’re in an adjacent area such as Horsham Township or Upper Dublin Township, we handle those calls the same way; we come to the lock, assess the hardware, verify ID and ownership, and get the lock functioning correctly before we leave.
