What goes wrong
We work on storefronts, warehouses, and office doors across Montgomery County from our mobile van based in Havertown. Common commercial problems are a cylinder that sticks after heavy use, a latch that no longer aligns with a worn strike, or an exit device whose dogging mechanism has failed. We diagnose the part that is binding or broken, whether that’s the cylinder, the spindle, the mortise case, or the strike, and then recommend repair or replacement of the actual mechanical component rather than replacing hardware unnecessarily.

What the job involves
When a panic bar or exit device fails to retract cleanly we check the pushpad linkage, the tailpiece, and the dogging parts for wear or misalignment. For access control and keypads we test the power feed and door contacts and trace the fault to the door hardware or the controller. If a door closer slams the door or no longer closes it fully we adjust the spring and valve settings and, if needed, swap in a closer with the proper arm and body for the door weight and swing.

Good to know
If you call from a Maple Glen business, we ask that you keep employees clear of the work door and have an on-site contact who can make decisions about keeping the door closed, using a secondary entrance, or temporarily securing the opening. For interior master key work or rekeying we request a person who has authority over keys; for access control work have the primary administrator available if possible. While we work we secure any loose hardware, cover thresholds or flooring if we need to remove a strike plate, and keep the area clean.

Worth knowing
For replacement hardware we can bring cylinders, mortise locks, exit devices, reinforced strikes, electric strikes, keypads, and basic access-control components so we can swap parts on the spot when appropriate. We drive out from Havertown and carry the hand tools and drilling equipment commonly used on commercial doors, including punches, drill bits and spindles sized for heavy-duty hardware. If you’re in Maple Glen or nearby Horsham Township, have the building key plan or any current master key information handy, or at least the door number and a contact who can confirm core and keyway types.
