What goes wrong
Locks on commercial doors in Horsham Township fail the same ways we see everywhere: exit devices bind, panic bars wear through their studs, cylinders seize with rust or debris, and strikes pull loose from a rotten frame. Keypads stop responding when batteries leak or wiring is pinched, and door closers get bent arms or leaking pistons that leave doors swinging hard or not latching. We also see master key systems with mixed keyways that no longer match the intended access pattern. We describe the broken part and the visible damage, not a label, so you know what we’re fixing.

What the job involves
When we come out from Havertown we start with a hands-on inspection: check bolt travel, measure latch throw, open up the lock or exit device to see what's worn, test the keypad and any low-voltage feed, and inspect the strike and door edge for reinforcement needs. If hardware needs replacement we fit solid, forged cylinders, replace stamped or hollow strikes with beefier plates, and mount new exit devices or keypads on the existing door where practical. We also run or repair low-voltage wiring for access control and rekey or set up master keying on pin stacks.

Good to know
If a door is unreliable while you wait, secure your space in the simplest, safest way: use a different locked entrance, post a temporary notice at the door, and keep traffic away from the affected opening. If an exit device is sticking, tell staff not to force it and use alternate egress until we arrive. When you call us, we’ll tell you how soon we can come and what we plan to bring, so you can manage staff and customers until we get there. Don’t prop doors open to bypass a latch unless you arrange supervision.

Worth knowing
Have these things ready when we arrive: the suite number and point of contact, any master keys or existing keys, and a clear description of which doors are giving trouble. For keypad or access control work, have the power supply or conduit access cleared and a staff member who can approve changes to access levels. If a building manager or landlord needs to sign off on hardware swaps bring them to the door. We work on commercial hardware for offices, retail, and light industrial properties in Horsham Township and nearby towns like Maple Glen.
