What goes wrong
When a lock fails you need a working solution, not guesses. We handle the common emergencies that leave people locked out or unsecured: a key snapped in a cylinder, a deadbolt that won’t throw, a knob or lever jammed from wear or impact, a door frame split where the strike used to sit. In Spring House we bring the tools to assess what’s actually broken, drive out from Havertown, and start with safe access techniques that minimize damage to the door and hardware while keeping your property secure.

What the job involves
An emergency call usually begins with an inspection of the cylinder, bolt and strike. We try non-destructive entry first, picking or decoding a cylinder, extracting a broken key, or removing just the trim to access the bolt. If the core is ruined we can pull and replace it with a new core or a full lockset, swap in a longer throw deadbolt, or repair a reinforced strike and jamb. We carry replacement cylinders, keys cut to the new core, and the drills and files needed if drilling is the only option.

Good to know
While we’re on the way there are practical things you can do to help the job go smoothly. Keep children and pets in a safe area away from the work, clear the path to the door, and make sure the entrance you want us to work on is unlocked from your side if that’s possible. Have a form of photo ID and a way to show you control the property; if you have a spare key location or a written key code, have that ready. In Spring House, we also ask you to point out any additional doors or gates we may need to secure.

Worth knowing
Before we arrive, try to note what kind of door and lock you have and gather any useful details: is the door solid wood, hollow core, metal, or fiberglass; is the lock a rim cylinder, mortise, or a tubular latch; do you have a visible brand name on the escutcheon or cylinder; and is there a deadbolt with a long throw or a short latch? Photos of the lock or a snapped key saved on your phone speed diagnosis. We serve nearby areas too, including Lower Gwynedd Township and Ambler, and we’ll tell you honestly how soon we can come once you call.
