What goes wrong
We handle commercial lock problems that show up at storefronts, offices and light industrial doors in Halfway House and the surrounding area. We get calls about jammed exit devices and panic bars that won't retract, door closers that slam or fail to hold, cylinders that turn roughly or drop tumblers, and keypads that lose power or fail to accept codes. We also see damaged strikes, warped doors that pinch latches, and master key systems that need rekeying when keys go missing. We drive out from Havertown to work on the door where it sits.

What the job involves
On arrival we start with a physical inspection: check the strike mounting, measure the backset and door thickness, verify cylinder type, and test the latch and bolt engagement under load. We pull cover plates on exit devices and keypads to look for worn cams or broken linkages, open closers to check spring tension and arm alignment, and examine frames for split or rusted reinforcements. From the truck we replace spindles, swap cylinders, fit reinforced strikes, program controllers and test everything through repeated cycles before we leave.

Good to know
While we’re on the road you can make the job smoother and safer by securing an alternate entrance and keeping foot traffic away from the work door. Have a staff member available to show us the affected keys, the master key hierarchy if there is one, and any door schedules or restricted hours that matter for access control programming. If the door serves a public area, post a temporary closed sign and route customers to another entry. If you have a facilities contact or purchase authorization, have that person reachable by phone.

Worth knowing
To get started faster, have proof of ownership or written authorization for the doors we will work on, a list of affected door numbers or locations, and any existing key or code lists you can share. Photos of the lock, the keyway, and the closed door help us identify parts before we open a case, and a note of the hardware brand or model is useful if you know it. Tell us whether the lock has a local power feed for electronics, and let someone on site confirm signatures and accept replacements after we complete the repair. We travel from Havertown and serve Halfway House and nearby places such as Upper Pottsgrove Township.
