What goes wrong
Homes in Folsom bring us every kind of lock problem: keys that snap off in deadbolts, warped latch bolts that refuse to catch, cylinders full of grit from older hardware, and knob sets whose internal springs have failed. We describe what’s wrong plainly and point to the component that needs work, the cylinder, the bolt, the strike plate or the tailpiece. If the door shows splitting around the jamb we mention reinforcing the strike or replacing the full assembly so the lock has something solid to work against.

What the job involves
When you call we tell you how soon we can come and then we drive out from Havertown with the tools and parts we commonly carry. On site we cut keys, replace cylinders, realign latches, fit mortise cases and install reinforced strikes where the jamb has failed. We use solid hardware: forged deadbolts, long-throw bolts, heavy-duty thumbturns and full metal faceplates. We carry cylinder sets keyed alike or keyed different and can rekey most pin tumbler locks while we’re there.

Good to know
While you wait, secure children and pets in a single room and move any items out of the way so we can work on the door safely. If you’re inside, have the door closed for inspection; if you’re outside, stand a safe distance while we examine the lock before any drilling starts. We explain the fix before we begin so you know whether we’re rekeying pins, swapping out a cylinder, replacing the whole deadbolt or fitting a full-length strike plate on a split jamb, and we show you the finished operation when we’re done.

Worth knowing
For basic household security we can rekey multiple locks to one key, change exterior knob and deadbolt combinations, fit keyed-entry garage locks and replace mailbox cylinders. We handle older hardware as well as newer tubular and mortise locks, and we can advise on strike reinforcement, longer screws through the jamb and better door hardware to resist forced entry. If you live in nearby Rutledge or Ridley Park we’ll come from Havertown the same way we come to Folsom; have proof of residency or ownership ready if you’re asking us to make new keys for an exterior lock.
