What goes wrong
We handle emergency lock problems that leave people stuck or vulnerable. We get calls for stuck deadbolts, snapped keys in cylinders, mortise locks that refuse to turn, and entry doors with split jambs from forced attempts. When we drive out from Havertown to Thornbury Township we bring the tools for picking, bypassing, extracting broken keys, and for removing and reinstalling cylinders and latches. We work on metal exterior doors, wood doors with reinforced strikes, sliding patio hardware, and common apartment unit locks. For more than thirteen years we have done this kind of work across Delaware County and nearby townships.

What the job involves
When a lock fails and you call us, your immediate priorities make a job simpler and safer. Keep clear of the door edge if the frame is damaged, move children and pets away from the entry, and leave any visible broken key pieces in place until we can look. If a deadbolt is operated by an interior thumbturn, leave that unlocked so we can access the bolt from outside. If a cylinder has spun or is loose, do not force it; that can push parts deeper into the mechanism and complicate extraction.

Good to know
We bring replacement cylinders, deadbolts, tubular latch sets, and heavier strike plates suited to the existing door prep. If a cylinder is corroded or the keyway is mangled we extract what's left and fit a new cylinder matched to the door thickness and backset, or we can rekey a set of locks to one key on the spot using pinning kits. For split or kicked-in frames we fit longer screws, reinforced strikes, and, when needed, replace the latch assembly so the door reseats squarely. We also handle mailbox cylinders and interior office locks the same way.

Worth knowing
While you wait, have acceptable photo ID and proof of tenancy or ownership ready so we can verify access before starting work. If the lock is part of a keyed-alike group, bring one working key if you have it; that helps us match pins faster. Tell us about previous repairs, any recent paint or swelling at the door edge, and whether multiple doors use the same key. We will explain options: repair the existing hardware, extract and replace a cylinder, or install new locking hardware to restore reliable operation in Thornbury Township or nearby Westtown Township, Chester Heights, and Concord Township.
