What the job involves
When a call comes in we’ll ask where you are and what happened, and we’ll be upfront about when we can come. While you wait, do not try to pry or force the lock; that often makes extraction harder and can ruin a cylinder we could have rekeyed. If the issue is a keypad or electronic latch, check for a nearby external power point or a visible battery compartment and have the keypad cover accessible. For a broken key, clear loose metal from the keyway and have the remaining key stub visible for us.

Good to know
On arrival we work where the hardware is: doors, gates, garage door locks, mailbox locks, and vehicle trunks are all handled in place. We carry drills, extractor sets, pinning kits, replacement cylinders, tubular lock removers, long-throw deadbolt hardware, and a selection of hardened strikes so we can replace or reconfigure parts without running back to a shop. If the lock needs rekeying we remove the cylinder, pin it to a new key, test the new key through the full turn, and then reinstall and adjust the strike and latch so the bolt moves smoothly every time.

Worth knowing
Have your photo ID and proof of occupancy or ownership ready when we arrive; it speeds verification and keeps everyone safe. If you can, pull the door open a little so we can see the bolt and strike alignment before we begin; for electronic locks, have any backup keys, control codes, or the battery type written down. We drive out from Havertown to serve Chester Heights and nearby areas such as Concord Township and handle whatever parts we can on the vehicle. If a part isn’t on the truck we’ll explain options and get the necessary hardware ordered or fitted.
