What goes wrong
People call us for a handful of emergencies: a key snapped in a cylinder, a deadbolt that won’t turn because the bolt is binding, a warped door that stops the latch from seating, or an electronic keypad that’s lost power. We work on residential and commercial locks as they’re actually built: cylinders, mortise mechanisms, rim locks, padlocks and reinforced strikes, and we explain the physical fault before we start. When you call from Thornbury Township we tell you straightaway how soon we can come and what tools we’ll likely need.

What the job involves
An emergency job begins with an on-site assessment: we inspect the door, jamb and hardware, test the cylinder and bolt throw, then decide whether to pick, extract a broken key, repair the spindle, or remove and replace a core. For electronic locks we check the battery pack and wiring and try a manual override. If drilling is unavoidable we use controlled core removal to preserve the door and fit a like-for-like replacement. We drive out from Havertown with a selection of common cylinders, cutters and replacement hardware.

Good to know
Should a child, a pet or anyone unwell be inside, call 911 and then call us. Have a phone nearby to share details and photos if you can, and stay ready to show proof of ownership when we arrive.
04
Worth knowing
To speed the process once we’re there have photo ID and something that proves ownership or residency ready, along with any spare key you can find. For a vehicle lockout, have the registration and vehicle make, model and year available and be prepared to describe the key head or fob type. Note whether the lock is a tubular, mortise, rim or cylinder unit, and whether the bolt is reinforced or has a long throw; those details help us bring the right parts. We’ll discuss the repair or replacement options on site and fit hardware that matches the door and frame.
