What goes wrong
Keys snap, cylinders hang up, deadbolts stick after a storm, and lock hardware fails at the worst moment. We handle the kinds of lock emergencies that leave a door immovable or a key broken off in the cylinder. For houses in Pennsburg and nearby towns we travel from Havertown with the tools to open doors without needless damage when possible, and to stabilize a compromised lock so an entrance is secure again. We deal with residential, commercial, and vehicle lock problems as they come.

What the job involves
On site we assess the lock and pick the appropriate method: non-destructive picking when the mechanism allows, controlled extraction for a broken key, and targeted drilling or cylinder removal only when parts are beyond repair. We carry replacement cylinders, keyed-alike cores, and portable key-cutting gear so we can make a working key on the spot or rekey a lock to match an existing set. For cars we handle wafer and tumbler locks, ignition issues, and cut or program vehicle keys when the vehicle’s hardware supports it.

Good to know
While you wait, keep children and pets out of the entry area and avoid forcing the lock or turning a broken key further. Have photo ID and proof that you live at or own the property or vehicle ready; we will verify before we work. If the entry was forced, secure other doors and windows if you can do so safely, and keep any damaged parts for us to inspect. A clear phone line and a short description of what failed help us bring what we need.

Worth knowing
When we arrive in Pennsburg we’ll expect to see the problem lock and any existing keys you have. Bring vehicle registration or title for automotive work and a key or code card if you have one for electronic or transponder-equipped keys. Note the type of lock (deadbolt, knobset, mortise, padlock) and whether the strike or frame is bent; that speeds selection of parts. We replace worn cylinders, reinforce strikes and frames when needed, extract broken keys, and supply new keys cut to fit the hardware on site.
