What goes wrong
Emergencies with locks in East Goshen Township often start with a simple snap: a key breaks in a cylinder, a deadbolt jams, or a latch shears away from a worn strike. We respond to calls for house and business lockouts, broken keys, bent or stuck handles, and failing electronic keypads or smart deadbolts. We drive out from Havertown and work on whatever’s at hand (solid single-cylinder deadbolts, mortise locks, rim cylinders, replacement cylinders and weakened strike plates) aiming to get you back through the door without unnecessary damage.

What the job involves
When we work on an emergency lock we follow a practical checklist. We try non-destructive entry first using picks, bypass tools and key extractors, then move to cylinder removal or carefully drilling a core when necessary. We can rekey, change cylinders, replace a deadbolt and install a reinforced strike or a new latch assembly on site. For electronic locks we check batteries, wiring and the lock’s mechanical parts before swapping modules or replacing the whole unit. We carry the cutters, drills and machines to fit the hardware we bring.

Good to know
While you wait, do what keeps everyone safe and speeds the job. Keep children and pets out of the work area, clear the immediate approach to the door or vehicle, and remove interior covers or trim if you can without forcing anything. Find and hold any current keys or fobs, note the lock type (thumbturn, keyed knob, mortise) and, if it’s a car, bring the registration and any existing key fob or remotes. When you call we’ll tell you how soon we can get to you and what we expect to need.

Worth knowing
When we arrive have ID and proof of ownership readily available and show us the problem lock and the frame or strike so we can assess if repair or replacement makes more sense. Photos sent ahead by text of the lock, door edge and strike can help us bring the right parts. We work across Chester County and nearby towns including Malvern, and every job takes place where the lock is; we don’t meet at a shop. If you have questions about what to choose, we’ll explain the physical options and the tradeoffs for the hardware you already have.
