What goes wrong
We work on the kinds of commercial lock problems that stop a business from opening or secure areas from being used. A jammed mortise lock, a strike bent from repeated door impact, a cylinder full of dirt, a panic bar that won’t latch or a keypad that refuses to recognize codes are common calls. We drive out from Havertown and bring the tools and spare parts to diagnose the mechanism, whether that means repairing a deadbolt tailpiece, replacing a worn cam or extracting a broken key from a cylinder.

What the job involves
When a panic device is sticking or an exit device won’t retract cleanly we focus on the mechanical parts: the push bar, the dogging mechanism, the latchbolt and the strike. For door closers we check arm alignment, valve condition and attachment points, and on reinforced metal doors we verify that the strike and frame hardware are solid and fastened to the structure. With access control we inspect the reader, power supply and lock actuator to find where the failure is mechanical versus electrical before deciding on parts replacement.

Good to know
If you call from a shop, office suite, warehouse or municipal building in West Marlborough Township, we’ll ask a few practical questions to make the job smoother. Tell us which door or suite number, whether the door is metal or wood, whether the hardware is surface-mounted or mortised, and if there are any high-security cylinders or master key systems in place. While we’re en route, clear the work area and move racks or furnishings away from the door, and have someone available who can confirm ownership or authority to make changes.

Worth knowing
For commercial customers with master key systems, keypad entries or magnetic locks we carry common cores and replacement parts for cylinders, keypads and fail-safe/fail-secure electric strikes. If you’re in nearby London Grove Township or Londonderry Township we handle similar work and we bring any preexisting keying information you have, a list of badge or code users if applicable, and the customer contact who can approve changing cylinders or rekeying. That speeds the decision process and keeps the work focused on the hardware that needs attention.
