What goes wrong
Commercial locks on storefronts and offices fail in predictable ways: cylinder cores shear from attempted key extraction, mortise locks chew up worn keys, panic bars bind with paint and dirt, and exit device latches misalign with a tired strike. We see electric strikes with loose wiring and standalone keypads whose buttons stop registering. In manufacturing and retail settings a heavy traffic door often needs a reinforced strike or a longer throw latch to keep the door from popping under load. When a call comes from London Grove Township we bring the parts and tools to match the hardware on site.

What the job involves
On a typical commercial job we start with a hands-on inspection and tell you what parts will be needed to restore operation. We remove and examine cylinders and cores, rekey or replace them, fit new mortise or cylindrical locks, adjust door closers, and service panic bars and exit devices so the latch tracks correctly. For access control work we program keypads, swap out card readers, run low-voltage connections, and bench-test replacement boards before they go on the door. We drive out from Havertown with tumblers, cores, cutters, and the common parts for commercial doors.

Good to know
While we’re headed your way, secure the area and keep staff and customers away from the affected door. If the lockout affects an egress door or a fire exit, keep alternate routes clear and designate one person to relay information to us. Have proof of ownership or an authorization ready and the contact details for anyone on your master-key list so we can verify who is allowed access. Clear any boxes or merchandise blocking the door and make a simple path for us to work without moving your fixtures around.

Worth knowing
Before we start, have any existing keys, keyblank codes, or a copy of your master key schedule if you maintain one. Note whether the door is rail-mounted or offset, the hand of the door, and whether the strike is reinforced or a standard plate; photos are useful when you can send them. If you use access control, a list of authorized PINs or employee badge IDs and the system’s make and model speeds replacement or reprogramming. We work throughout Chester County and cover commercial calls to nearby towns such as West Grove when needed.
