What goes wrong
We work on commercial locks and door hardware where the equipment fails: cylinders that stick, panic bars that won't retract, keypads that stop accepting codes, and deadbolts with worn cam surfaces. A typical call from an office or storefront in East Falls finds us handling cylinders, mortise locks, exit devices, and reinforced strikes. We carry replacement cylinders, tailpieces, and spindle hardware so we can remove a damaged piece and fit a matching part. When a key breaks off or a panic bar jams, we extract, repair, or replace the mechanical parts on site.

What the job involves
When we replace or service an exit device or panic bar, the job involves removing trim and dogging mechanisms, checking the latch and roller alignment, and fitting the strike and strike box so the bar engages cleanly. With door closers we check the arm geometry, oil seals, and fasteners, and we adjust sweep and latch speed on the closer body. For master key systems we measure pin stacks, decode existing keys when present, and cut and test new keys on site. We drive out from Havertown and bring the hand tools and parts common to commercial hardware jobs.

Good to know
While we work, building staff should secure other entrances and keep traffic clear of the door leaf to avoid accidental openings. If the door is on a public route we recommend posting someone to keep people away from the work area until the latch and strike are checked. Have any existing keys, code lists, or the keying schedule ready, along with door handing information and the type of lockset currently installed. If access control is involved, have the power source and wiring info available and note any recent changes to controllers or wiring runs.

Worth knowing
For electronic keypads and access control panels we test power, replace batteries in readers, verify relay outputs, and bench-test replacement readers before fitting them at the door. We handle strike replacements, reinforced plates, and long-throw deadbolts, and we can rekey cylinders or cut additional keys for staff. When a business in East Falls wants a master key or a phased rekey, we document keyways and tag cylinders so the system remains organized. Every job happens at the door; we do the mechanical and electronic work where the lock lives.
