What the job involves
A typical service visit starts with isolating the affected door and confirming who has authority to approve work. We ask that the building manager or tenant be on site, able to show keys or access credentials, and able to sign for parts that are changed. If an access control panel or power supply is involved, have the unit’s location and any network or alarm contacts written down. While we diagnose, keep occupants away from the door swing and any exposed hardware for safety.

Good to know
Repair work can mean removing old cylinders, reshaping a jammed faceplate, replacing exit device mechanisms, or fitting a new reinforced strike and longer throw latch for a heavy door. For electric hardware we test voltage at the lock and the strike, and check the door closer for correct sweep and latch speeds. When we rekey or build a master key system we keep the original keying hierarchy on paper so you know which key opens which doors. We use solid parts and forged components when the job calls for durability.

Worth knowing
If you are in Roxborough and need us on site, call with the door location, a brief description of the fault, and contact details for the on-site decision maker. Tell us whether the door is a main entrance, service door, stairwell, or a secured interior office so we can bring likely parts and tools. While you wait, secure the area, post signs if customers are affected, and gather any existing keys, access cards, wiring diagrams, or invoices from previous work that might speed diagnosis. We keep the work at the door, not at a counter.
