The buildings and the hardware
The housing stock in Lower Frederick Township influences the hardware we see. Many homes have original doors with older bore sizes or mortise pockets, so we often retrofit modern cylindrical hardware to fit existing holes, or use sleeve kits to adapt new cylinders to older doors. There are also newer builds and duplexes where prefinished doors and tubular latches are common, which changes the fasteners and strike plates we carry. Apartment-style units and small rental properties tend to require keyed-alike solutions and robust latches, while owner-occupied houses more often get higher-security deadbolts and reinforced strike installations to improve resistance to forced entry.
