The buildings and the hardware
The built environment in East Coventry Township affects the hardware we see. Most calls are for single-family homes and smaller multi-unit buildings rather than storefronts, so wooden doors, older jambs, and legacy mortise-style locks turn up more often than modern hollow-metal commercial hardware. Older doors often need retrofit plates, longer screws into framing, or conversion from mortise to cylindrical locks; by contrast, newer homes have bored doors designed for standard cylindrical deadbolts and handle sets. That variety means we bring both mortise parts and contemporary cylinders, and we size and set locks to the actual door and frame rather than assuming a one-size solution.
