What goes wrong
We handle the common failures that stop you from getting in or sleeping well: a deadbolt that jams when the bolt binds against a warped frame, a cylindrical lock with worn pins that tumbles under its own key, patio locks with shredded rollers, and electronic locks that lose power or fail to communicate. We also pick up the less obvious stuff, loose screws that let a lock rotate, swollen doors that pinch a latch, and strike plates pulled away from the frame. When you call about a problem in West Norriton Township we talk through what the door is doing and what you hear.

What the job involves
On arrival we work on the hardware in place. We take a look at the lock cylinder, the tailpiece alignment, the strike plate, and the bolting surface. For deadbolts we check the bolt throw and the reinforcement around the strike; for key-in-knob locks we inspect the spindle and retainer clips. If a lock is beyond repair we remove it and fit a replacement on the spot, transferring your existing keying where practical. We carry solid replacement hardware, reinforced strikes, and a range of cylinders so we can cut and code keys at the job.

Good to know
While we travel from Havertown to the job site you can make sure we can reach the door without obstructions: move bicycles, toys, planters, and cars away from the entry. Have photo ID and proof of residency or ownership handy so we can confirm authorization before we work on a locked door. If keys exist, put them in a safe spot for us to inspect; if they are missing, describe the last known key type and whether it was broken. For electronic locks, note the model and whether the keypad or battery compartment is accessible.

Worth knowing
We work on entries beyond the front door, too: garage service doors, sliding glass doors with foot bolts, basement bulkhead locks, and mailbox cylinders. For garage and patio hardware we inspect the rails, rollers, and multipoint mechanisms as well as the cylinder; a stuck multipoint latch often needs the door aligned and the latch reprofiled. If you’re in Trooper, Norristown, or nearby and want to know what to have ready for a particular lock, tell us the lock type and we’ll explain which keys, codes, or paperwork speed the job.
