I just moved into a house in Spring Mount, so can you change or rekey the locks so I’m the only one with keys?
We can rekey or replace your locks depending on the hardware. Rekeying rearranges the pins in the cylinder so old keys no longer work. If the existing lock is worn, hollow-bodied, or otherwise unsuitable, we recommend swapping the cylinder or entire lockset and installing a fresh, solid latch and strike for reliable operation.
My deadbolt is stiff and the key sometimes gets stuck, can you fix it without replacing the whole lock?
We inspect the cylinder, bolt, and strike alignment first. Often a stiff deadbolt is caused by dirt, corroded pins, or a misaligned strike plate. We clean and lubricate the cylinder, file or adjust the strike, and replace worn internal parts when necessary. If the bolt or cam is damaged, we’ll suggest a suitable replacement.
My key snapped off inside the door lock, so can you get the broken piece out and still use the lock?
We remove the cylinder or disassemble the lock to extract the broken key fragment carefully, using picks and extraction tools to avoid further damage. If the key left metal chips or the pins were compromised, we replace the damaged components and then rekey or fit a new key so the lock operates smoothly and reliably.
