I just moved into a house in Atglen, can you rekey the locks so the old owner's keys won't work?
We can rekey most residential cylinder locks so a previous occupant’s key won’t work. We remove the cylinder, replace or pin it to match new keys, test all related doors, and leave a single keying system if you prefer. We work out of our mobile unit and serve Delaware, Chester, Montgomery counties and Philadelphia.
I want to put a smart lock on my back door, so will it work with my existing deadbolt and keys?
We can change a standard deadbolt to accept many smart lock brands, but compatibility depends on backset, thickness, and existing cylinder. We inspect the jamb, measure and advise on replacing or modifying the cylinder or strike. We carry common replacement hardware and install, program basic functions, and test locking and key operation before we leave.
My key snapped in the front door, so can you get the pieces out without replacing the whole lock?
We extract broken keys from cylinders and deadbolts, using picks, extraction tools and, when needed, removing the cylinder. After extraction we inspect the lock for damage and recommend repair or replacement. If you want, we can then cut a new key to match or rekey multiple locks so one key operates them all. We work on-site.
