What goes wrong
Commercial locks in retail fronts, offices, warehouses and multi-tenant buildings fail in a few common ways: cylinder shear, jammed deadbolts, latchbolt misalignment, and broken exit-device bars. We replace cylinders and whole locksets, cut new commercial keys, and repair or swap out exit devices and panic bars. When a strike is pulled or the latch won’t retract because the door has sagged, we realign the strike and reinforce the jamb. For heavier doors we fit longer throws and forged latches so the bolt sits in solid metal, not just paint and wood.

What the job involves
Access control and keypad systems give different headaches: dead batteries, corroded contacts, loose wires, and worn keypads where the digits no longer register reliably. We troubleshoot power and wiring, replace worn switch assemblies, reprogram controllers, and install replacement keypads or card readers. If you have a master key system that’s grown messy over years, we’ll map cylinders and rekey groups so cores match the intended hierarchy. We carry common cores and keying supplies when we drive out from Havertown and can stage parts on the truck.

Good to know
On arrival to a commercial job in Atglen we secure the door or area first and work with whoever is responsible for the building. While we work, keep employees clear of the threshold and back from the immediate work area; that reduces distractions and gives us space to use drills or power tools safely. If you need access immediately, let us know who is authorized and whether there are emergency keys or override codes. We can advise temporary measures, such as a clamp or bar, to keep a door usable until a full repair is in place.

Worth knowing
Have a few things ready to speed the job: identification for the person who can authorize entry, a lease agreement or business card showing the company name, any existing keys or key tags, and photographs of the door and hardware if you can. Note the type of door: metal, hollow metal, wood, and whether there’s a closer, panic hardware or an electric strike wired into the frame. If you’re in a neighboring town like West Sadsbury Township or Parkesburg, tell us when you call so we bring the right blank cores and screws; we drive out from Havertown prepared for typical commercial hardware.
