What goes wrong
We handle the typical failures commercial doors throw at you: worn cylinders that bind in the plug, mortise locks with broken levers, exit devices that no longer retract cleanly, warped strikes, door closers that slam or won’t latch, and keypads or card readers that lose programming or fail at the wiring. We work on heavy, forged hardware and on the electronic side of access control alike. When you call from Parkesburg we drive out from Havertown to the site and describe what we see before we start.

What the job involves
A typical job begins with a hands-on diagnosis at the door: we remove trim to inspect the cylinder or latch, test the throw of the bolt, check strike alignment and mounting, and probe any access-control wiring back to the controller. For keys we cut and code cylinders on site if appropriate, and for electrified hardware we isolate power and test inputs before reprogramming. When doors need reinforcement we fit longer screws, reinforced strikes, or replace wearable parts with solid replacements.

Good to know
While you wait, clear a work area so we can lay out parts and bring a door prop if the door swings into traffic. Have the building manager or an authorized representative on site and ready to show ownership or authority over the door; that saves calls and keeps the job moving. Tell us upfront about alarm panels or interlocks so we can avoid tripping systems, and we’ll explain what we found and what we recommend before replacing hardware.
04
Worth knowing
For a faster resolution, have any spare keys, the current master-key chart if there is one, and details about the existing hardware, brand, cylinder type, whether the lock is mortise or cylindrical, and whether electrified parts run on low-voltage or rely on building power. If you use networked readers, provide temporary access to the controller or an on-site IT contact. We also serve customers around Parkesburg and nearby Sadsbury Township; we’ll tell you what we can do on site and what will need follow-up.
