What goes wrong
We work on the kinds of residential problems that actually stop people from getting in or securing their homes: jammed deadbolts, keys broken off in a cylinder, warped latchfaces, stripped keyways, and storm-damaged entry hardware. We remove broken key fragments, re-pin cylinders, replace worn tumblers, and fit new deadbolts or knob locks to a prepared door. We travel from Havertown to Parkesburg and the surrounding parts of Chester County, bringing picks, plug spinners, cylinder removers, drills and replacement cylinders so the fix can be completed on site.

What the job involves
When a lock is stuck or a key won’t turn, we first assess the mechanism to decide whether to repair or replace parts. That typically means checking the door fit, the strike plate and jamb alignment, the length of the bolt throw, and the interior tailpiece operation. If a cylinder is seized we may remove it and work on the plug at the side, or swap in a new cylinder that matches the door thickness and backset. We always explain the option to have a reinforced strike or longer bolts for a stronger installation.

Good to know
With a child or a pet locked inside, call 911 before anyone else. Otherwise, while we are en route you can clear a small working area around the door, gather the existing keys, and point out which door and which side opens to the street. If you have proof of residency or identification ready, that helps confirm ownership when we arrive. For garages and patio doors, note whether the lock is keyed on both sides or has a thumbturn.

Worth knowing
Have on hand any spare keys, the brand or markings from the old lock, and photos of the door edge and strike if you can; these details let us bring the correct replacement parts from the van. We may need access to the interior frame or to remove trim to fit a new lock, so please move fragile items away from the work zone. In Parkesburg and nearby Sadsbury Township or Sadsburyville we handle installations, rekeying, and entry solutions that rely on solid hardware: mortise locks, tubular deadbolts, reinforced plates, and explain which parts are mechanical versus simple cosmetic fixes.
