What goes wrong
When a key snaps in a lock, a cylinder jams, or a latch is bent after a door has been forced, we make that hardware operable again. We extract broken key sections from cylinders, replace worn plug assemblies, and re-cut or re-key locks so the bolt meets the strike cleanly. For deadbolts with long throws or rim locks with exposed screws we inspect the bolt, the strike plate and the case to decide whether to repair, replace the internal tumblers, or install a new lock with a matching keyway.

What the job involves
If you are locked out of a car, house or storefront we focus first on access without damage. For cars we work on door locks and trunks using non-destructive entry techniques suitable to the make and the lock type, then address the ignition if a broken key is involved. For residential doors we operate knobs, lever handles, mortise locks and surface-mounted bolts; if hardware is warped or the latch is sheared, we remove the failed parts and fit replacements designed to align with the doorframe and strike.

Good to know
While we are en route from Havertown you can make the situation easier to resolve. Have your photo ID and proof of ownership or residency available, gather any current keys or key fobs, and move pets or children away from the work area. If a door was forced, clear loose glass or splinters so we can safely work the frame and assess whether the strike or jamb needs reinforcing. For vehicles bring your registration or other ownership documentation and, if possible, the vehicle key code or prior key information.

Worth knowing
We bring the tools and parts needed to repair or replace lock components on site: plugs, new cylinders, hardened bolts, and reinforced strikes as required. When a padlock or hasp is cut or seized we fit a replacement with a matching shackle size and body style; for mailboxes and cabinets we use small pin tumblers or wafer replacements. If inspection shows the door itself is the problem, we recommend specific hardware or a stronger strike and fit what will function reliably with the existing door and frame.
