What goes wrong
When a lock fails in an emergency (you’re standing at a deadbolt that won’t retract, a knob locked solid, a cylinder split from a forced turn, or a key snapped in the plug), we come prepared to diagnose and act. We handle mechanical and electronic failures on exterior doors and garage entries, and we cut new keys on site when the original is unusable. If a keypad or smart lock has lost power or stopped responding, we work through the battery and wiring issues and, if needed, switch to mechanical access so you can get inside safely.

What the job involves
If you’re locked out of a car, we use non-destructive entry where possible: wedges, long-reach tools, and by carefully manipulating the linkage. When the vehicle has a broken key or a cylinder problem we extract the broken piece and cut a replacement if the keyway allows. For residential doors in Lower Moreland Township we focus on preserving existing hardware when it’s solid; when components are badly damaged we remove and replace cylinders, deadbolts, or strike plates with forged parts and longer throws to restore proper function.

Good to know
While we’re on the way from Havertown, you can prepare to speed the job by gathering identification that proves you live at the address, and by moving pets or children to a safe area away from the doorway. If the problem is with a vehicle, have the registration or title ready and the owner present; for rental or company vehicles bring whatever paperwork the rental agency or fleet manager requires. If an electronic lock is involved, check for visible battery compartments or external power options and bring any backup keys or codes you may have.

Worth knowing
We keep common replacement parts and a set of hand tools suited to emergency work, plug extractors, cylinder plugs, replacement cylinders, various deadbolts and strike hardware, key blanks, and the machines to cut and code keys on site. For doors in Upper Moreland Township or nearby pockets of Montgomery County, we match the replacement part to the existing door thickness and frame so hinges and strikes line up. If the job requires more than a straightforward repair, we explain the mechanical options and the parts we’ll use, then proceed once you’re ready.
