What goes wrong
Locks on commercial doors fail in ways that are different from homes. We see worn cylinders that stick, latch bolts that no longer fully engage because the strike is torn out or the frame has shifted, and exit devices where the internal bar splays or the tailpiece breaks. Electric strikes and maglocks often fail because the solenoid or wiring is compromised, and keypad modules can stop accepting codes after moisture or impact. In Lower Moreland Township jobs we treat the hardware as metal parts that need alignment, replacement, or secure mounting rather than as abstract brands.

What the job involves
When we diagnose a commercial problem we start at the door edge and work out: remove trim to inspect the cylinder and tailpiece, check the strike and reinforcements, test the exit device and closer, and meter low-voltage at the lock or strike. If a keypad or access-control reader is involved we verify power and the controller connection and, when necessary, replace the module or run new low-voltage wiring. We drive out from Havertown and bring blanks, cylinders, reinforced strikes, and common exit-device parts so we can do most repairs on site.

Good to know
While you wait we ask that you secure staff and customers away from the affected door, keep the area clear, and if an electrical lock is involved cut power only if you know which circuit controls it. When you call we tell you how soon we can come. Have a staff member ready who can identify keys, show the door handing, and unlock any inner gates or closets so we can get straight to the hardware. If there is a master-key note or cabinet, have that accessible.

Worth knowing
To make the job smoother, gather the building name, suite or room number, and a contact who can authorize work; know whether the door is metal or wood and whether the strike is face-mounted or pocketed. If you use access control, have the network or controller contact available and know where the power supply sits. For multi-door setups bring your master-keying records or tell us how keys are bitted so we can plan rekeying or master-system changes. We work on commercial doors in Lower Moreland Township and nearby areas like Upper Moreland Township and expect to get the hardware back to a solid, usable condition.
