What goes wrong
We respond to the usual emergencies that happen in and around Graduate Hospital: a key that snaps off in a mortise cylinder, a deadbolt that jams with a long throw stuck in the bolt, an exit device that fails to latch, or an electronic keypad that won't accept codes. We bring the tools to cut, extract, drill if necessary, and replace cores or entire cylinders on site. We drive out from Havertown and carry common commercial and residential cylinders, heavy-duty knobs, mortise sets, reinforced strikes, and keypad modules so we can get a lock back to working condition without sending you somewhere else.

What the job involves
When you call from Graduate Hospital, tell us whether the door is metal, wood, or aluminum, whether the lock is a mortise, cylindrical, rim, electronic, or magnetic, and whether the key is broken, the thumbturn spins, or the latch is misaligned. Those details let us pack the right parts and the right extraction bits. We will tell you how soon we can come when you call; otherwise, leave the door as you found it and don’t try to force the bolt or hammer the hardware.

Good to know
While we work, expect practical steps: we may need to remove the trim to access the cylinder, withdraw a broken bit with pliers or an extractor, file or shim a warped strike, or swap in a new core and key the cylinder on site. For electronic locks we check batteries, power connections, and the controller before replacing modules. If access control is involved we follow any site procedures you have for badge or code changes. Have the property key set, proof of ownership or authorization, and any badge or code information ready so we can verify you’re authorized to receive access.

Worth knowing
For people nearby (residents of Point Breeze, University City, or other parts of Philadelphia who find themselves locked out at odd moments), we handle vehicle trunk and car door emergencies that involve key extraction or programming of replacement fobs as well as building entry problems. If the lock is old and the cylinder bore is damaged we can fit a new cylinder, fit a reinforced strike, and rekey multiple locks so one key works for several doors. If you’re at Graduate Hospital and need help, tell us which door and what happened and have identification and any site authorization available when we arrive.
