What goes wrong
We handle commercial lock problems you see in storefronts, offices, and small warehouses: jammed cylinder locks, broken mortise bolts, sheared keys in heavy-duty deadbolts, worn keyways, and door hardware that no longer lines up with its strike. We work on exit devices and panic bars, single- and multi-point locks, door closers that don't hold or latch, and electric strikes and access-control hardware where the solenoid has failed or wiring is loose. In many Yeadon shops the issue is straightforward wear or a misaligned door; we diagnose what’s failed and what needs to be replaced or rebuilt.

What the job involves
When you call, we’ll tell you how soon we can come and drive out from our Havertown base to your location. While you wait, secure areas that are vulnerable: move inventory away from the affected door, lock secondary doors if you have them, and keep staff clear of the entrance. For an access-control or keypad problem, have the administrator code or the system manual handy if you can. For any door, have someone on site who can open other entrances or provide access for our techs.

Good to know
On arrival we assess the door, frame, and hardware as a system. We check the lock body, cylinder, strike alignment, and whether the latch has the correct throw and engagement. If an electric strike or magnetic lock is involved, we test the power supply and control wiring before removing hardware. For master-key or rekey work we inspect the existing keying and record how many cylinders need to match. For panic bars and exit devices we verify the center case and dogging mechanism and replace worn parts or the whole device if the mechanism is beyond repair.

Worth knowing
If you have keys, bring every key that is in regular use and label them so we can avoid unnecessary changes. For access-control work, bring any wiring diagrams, controller info, and the administrative code if you have it; if you don’t, we’ll still work from the hardware. For businesses in nearby towns such as Lansdowne or Darby we provide the same on-site service; every job happens where the lock is, and we do the cutting, cylinder work, and hardware replacement at your door so you can get back to business.
