What goes wrong
We work on storefront and office doors in Millbourne and the adjacent area, handling the mechanical things that actually fail: cylinder cores that stick, deadbolts with bent throws, exit devices whose latching trips, and keypads that stop reading cards. On a commercial site we often see wear where a long throw latch meets a poor strike, or a center-pull exit device that has lost its springs. We describe the problem and the physical parts that need attention so the business owner understands what we will replace, repair, or adjust.

What the job involves
When we arrive we inspect the door leaf, frame, hinge condition, and the working relationship between closer, strike, and lockset. If there is access control hardware we check wiring at the lock and power supply, and with keypads we test battery contacts and tamper circuits. For panic bars we look at the pull arm, latching point, and any missing dogging components. We drive out from Havertown and carry cylinders, latches, strikes, exit-device parts, and a selection of keys and blank stock, so we can often proceed without a return trip.

Good to know
While we work, keep employees out of the door swing and give us a staff member who can answer questions about who needs access. For an office rekey or master key change have a list of doors that must be keyed alike and any restricted areas flagged; for access control, note which users need badge or code privileges and which doors should remain unlocked at set times. If an emergency exit device is involved, point out the usual flow of people so we can orient the hardware for normal traffic.

Worth knowing
For existing master key systems we map cylinder types on site, verify which cores are removable and which are pinned, and advise on practical solutions: rekeying, cylinder swaps, or installing a keyed-alike set. For replacement hardware we fit forged deadbolts, reinforced strikes, or through-bolted plates where the masonry or frame shows failure. In Millbourne service calls we focus on solid mechanical repairs and straightforward electronic fixes; we explain the work to whoever is in charge and leave the site with the lock operating as intended.
