What goes wrong
Commercial doors in Rockledge suffer the same wear we see across office buildings and small retail storefronts. A cylindrical lock with a worn tailpiece, a deadbolt with a stripped thumbturn, or a panic bar whose latch tongue is bent all cause trouble at the worst times. We replace or repair the actual components: swapping a broken cylinder, rekeying a tubular lever set, rebuilding a mortise lock, or reinforcing a split strike. We work on exit devices, deadbolts, keypad assemblies and the door hardware that takes the daily abuse.

What the job involves
When a commercial lock fails it often leaves a business in an awkward operational spot. While we work, keep staff off the affected door, post a temporary entry route, and if keys are involved gather every key you have for that suite or office. Have the door cleared of shelving or items that would block removal of trim or hardware. In many cases we need clear access to the lock edge and to both sides of the door to remove cylinders, cut new keys, and align strikes.

Good to know
Access control and master key work are common calls. We install and service wired and battery-powered keypad units, electric strikes, and standalone card readers, and we plan keying so cores and cylinders are labeled when we leave. Tell us where you want keyed alike or where a restricted keyway is already in place. If you have existing cores, bring any key blanks you use and a list of spaces that need separate access. We drive out from Havertown with blanks, pinning kits, and cylinder removers to do the job on site.

Worth knowing
If a lock is damaged in a break-in or door hardware has been bent, we secure the opening first: fit a temporary lock or a reinforced strike, swap in a heavy forged deadbolt, or install a long-throw latch to line up with a reinforced metal jamb. For digital and battery products, bring batteries and any programming codes or master keypad codes you have. For system jobs, have a floor plan or a sketch of doors and key groups ready so we can label cores and document what we change before we leave Rockledge.
