What goes wrong
We work on the locks and hardware that cause the most trouble for businesses: exit devices and panic bars that stick or fail to retract, cylindrical and mortise cylinders that shear or jam, door closers that overrun or fail to latch, worn strikes and hosts of access control problems from dead keypads to unresponsive readers. In New Hanover Township we see the same mechanical failures as anywhere (metal fatigues, misaligned latches, corrosion on outdoor hardware), and we focus on the part that actually needs repair or replacement rather than cosmetic fixes.

What the job involves
On arrival we diagnose the mechanism in place and explain the repair options. That can mean replacing a worn cylinder, rekeying a bank of locks, swapping a damaged mortise lockset, refitting a jamb and installing a reinforced strike, or fitting a new panic bar or door closer. For electronic systems we check power and wiring and can program keypads or replace failed readers; if running new wiring is required we coordinate that work with whoever controls the building. We drive out from Havertown and work on site.

Good to know
While we’re en route you should secure sensitive areas, move staff or customers away from the affected doorway, and if you have a building manager or facilities contact, let them know what door and suite we’ll be working on. Have someone ready who can show proof of ownership or authorization so we can document the job. If the door is a primary entrance, post an alternate route for visitors and, if needed, keep a staff member at the alternate entrance to manage access until we finish.

Worth knowing
To speed the job, have as much information ready as you can: the building name and suite number, which side of the door the hardware is on, whether the door is hollow metal, wood, or aluminum, any keys or old cylinders you still have, and photos of the existing hardware if possible. If the job involves an access control keypad or electric strike, have the name of the electrician or the power source contact handy. We do commercial work across Montgomery County (including New Hanover Township, Douglass Township and Pottsgrove) and clear, accurate information helps us get the right parts and tools for the job.
