What goes wrong
Commercial customers call us when a lock stops working in the middle of a shift: a rim cylinder sheared off, a mortise lock jammed, an exit device that only catches on one side, or a panic bar whose linkage has separated. We drive out from Havertown and work on the door where it stands, assessing the cylinder, tailpiece, spindle, latch and strike. We look for metal fatigue, warped door edges, worn cams, or screws that have backed out, then decide whether a repair, part replacement or a rekey will restore reliable service.

What the job involves
Many jobs involve door hardware that has seen daily use for years: worn keyways, sticky core pins, long-throw deadbolts that have lost smooth travel, or electric strikes with loose wiring. We also handle access control components (card readers, keypads, maglocks and their power feeds) and master key systems that need rekeying or new key bitting within an existing hierarchy. When we work on these items we focus on the mechanical fit: bolt engagement, strike reinforcement, latch depth, and clean electrical connections where applicable.

Good to know
If you call from Hatfield Borough with a locked storefront, a malfunctioning panic bar or a keypad refusing to accept codes, lock up the area for safety and make sure staff know which entrances are affected. While we are en route, have ready proof that you are authorized to approve the work, the name and phone number of the person we should contact on site, and any spare keys or key lists you keep. Photos of the problem door, the lockset, and the inside of the frame speed diagnosis when we arrive.

Worth knowing
For planned changes (master key installations, upgrading an older door closer, or adding an electric strike to an office door), gather door measurements, count of doors and who needs what access, and note existing hardware brands if you can. We can remove a cylinder to cut a key from the plug on site, replace a worn mortise body, fit a reinforced strike or retrofit a keypad to an existing lock. We work across commercial properties in Montgomery County and nearby towns; we come to the door and do the physical lock work where it needs doing.
