What goes wrong
Most car lockouts happen for the same simple reasons: keys left inside a locked car, a dead key fob battery, or a bent key that will not turn the cylinder. We see frozen or sticky door locks, jammed latches, and trunks that lock electronically but won’t open. When we arrive in Frankford we assess whether the door has an exposed gap to insert tools, whether the lock is a mechanical cylinder or an electronic actuator, and whether the keyway shows damage that needs careful extraction rather than force.

What the job involves
A typical lockout job involves gaining access without damaging the vehicle. We use inflatable wedges to create a safe opening and long-reach tools to reach the lock, pick or decode mechanical cylinders when necessary, and bypass electronic locks with manufacturer-style methods when the fob has failed. If a key is broken in the lock we extract the fragment and inspect the cylinder for scoring or wear. Every job happens where the lock is, so we bring the tools and replacement hardware to you rather than asking you to come anywhere.

Good to know
While you wait nearby, have your identification and proof of ownership ready to show us. If you have a spare key, bring it out; if the key is in the vehicle, point to where it’s located so we can plan the safest way in. We’ll explain options and the condition of the lock before any cutting or replacement so you can decide how to proceed.

Worth knowing
We travel from Havertown and work across Delaware County, Chester County, Montgomery County and Philadelphia to handle lockouts that range from classic mechanical cylinders to push-button and remote systems. If a replacement blade or a new fob is needed we can cut a new metal key and program transponders or remotes on site when the vehicle allows it. We inspect strikes and latches too, noting when a reinforced striker or a worn latch is the real cause of repeat failures, and recommend the correct physical parts rather than temporary fixes.
