The buildings and the hardware
The housing stock in Eagleville tends to mix older detached houses with some rows and smaller multiunit buildings, and that affects the hardware we see. Older wood doors often have deeper mortises, heavy strike plates, and rim-type or box locks; newer units usually have bored cylindrical locks and prepped doors that take standard deadbolts. That means we carry both mortise parts and modern locksets, plus longer screws and reinforced strikes for doors that need a bit of strengthening. Storefronts and small commercial entries, where present, often use exit devices, metal doors, or commercial-grade cylinders, which require different pinning and keying approaches than a typical house.
