What goes wrong
You call because something is stuck, bent, broken or missing and you need the lock fixed where it sits. We handle snapped keys in cylinder locks, latchbolts that ride up on warped doors, stuck deadbolts with damaged tailpieces, and doors that have been forced with a split jamb or a torn strike plate. For cars we extract broken keys, bypass damaged ignitions, and open trunks and doors without damaging trim. In Exton we see the usual mix of residential entry hardware and commercial mortise locks that refuse to operate after a jam or vandalism.

What the job involves
When we arrive at the vehicle or door we first assess what is actually seized or sheared and why. That means checking the cylinder face, the tailpiece, the bolt throw, the strike, the spindle and any connection to an interior turnpiece or handle. If a key is broken we remove the shaft and inspect the warding and pins; if the bolt is misaligned we check the strike and the latch travel and, when needed, replace a worn or bent mechanism rather than trying to force it. We carry a range of cylinders, deadbolts, tubular latches and replacement hardware on the truck so we can match the part to the job.

Good to know
While you wait keep the scene secure and keep us updated about who has keys or remote fobs. For residences make sure pets are contained and any children are watched; for businesses lock up sensitive areas if you can do so without forcing more damage. If it's a vehicle tell us the make, model, whether it has a push-button start or a keyed ignition, and whether any aftermarket alarm or steering-lock device is fitted. That information lets us bring the right extraction tools, plug spinners and rekeying tumblers for the job in Exton or nearby towns such as Lionville.

Worth knowing
Have proof of ownership or authorization ready when we arrive so we can proceed without needless delay. For homes a bill of sale or mail with your name at the address, for businesses an employee ID or management authorization and for vehicles a registration or insurance card with matching name and VIN help us confirm authority to work on the lock. We drive out from Havertown and treat every call as a technical problem: diagnosing broken parts, replacing cylinders and latches, rekeying when cylinders are intact, and repairing or replacing strikes and reinforced hardware so the door or trunk operates smoothly again.
