What goes wrong
We work on the kinds of commercial problems that shut a business down or let a door swing unlocked. Broken keys in mortise cylinders, mangled latch bolts, exit devices that stick, and card readers that drop their network connection are routine calls. A lot of damage comes from force on the strike or a dropped door closer that bends the arm; sometimes the core is seized from corrosion. We drive out from Havertown to jobs in New London Township and neighboring areas. When you call, we tell you honestly how soon we can come.

What the job involves
On arrival we assess the door and the hardware: whether a cylinder can be rekeyed, the tailpiece will accept a replacement core, or a panic bar needs a new pivot and strike. We carry solid, forged cylinders, stainless strikes, heavier deadbolts for metal frames, and several styles of exit device components. If access control is involved we check the power supply, the lock relay, and the wiring from the reader to the door. We explain the repair options and what parts the door actually needs.

Good to know
While you wait for us, secure the area that needs work and, if the door controls a public entrance, post a temporary closed or alternate access notice. For employee-only doors have someone available who knows the master key or can show where the current keying schedule is kept. If access control or keypad work is required, have any programming codes, the name of the access software, and an authorized contact ready. For lock changes have a decision-maker available to sign off on hardware swaps or to authorize a cylinder change.

Worth knowing
Commercial jobs often turn into small projects: rekeying a suite, installing a master key system, replacing panic hardware on an exit corridor, or swapping a lockset for a heavy duty lock where the strike and frame need reinforcing. We handle master key layouts, cut and code keys on site, and fit door closers so the latch closes cleanly into a long throw strike. In New London Township and nearby Elk Township, Franklin Township, and Penn Township we give straightforward, technical advice on what to keep, what to replace, and what parts to have on hand for future service.
