What goes wrong
Commercial doors and hardware in Eddystone get hard use: boltwork sticks, exit devices wear the cam or dog, panic bars bend, and keyed cylinders shear or refuse to turn. We see a lot of broken trim, loose strike plates, and door closers that no longer control swing. For a commercial call we start by checking the door edge, the lockset, the strike, and the closer, then trace back into the jamb and frame to find where the metal is failing or binding. We explain the parts that need replacement and why the existing component failed.

What the job involves
When a keypad or access control panel acts up we test the power, wiring, battery backup and reader terminals, and we pull logs if the system gives them. For mechanical master key systems we inspect pinning, spool or serrated drivers, and key bitting to see whether rekeying or cylinder replacement is the right fix. We carry common cylinders, mortise lock parts, exit device trim and replacement latches so we can make the repair on site if the part matches the hardware already installed in your building.

Good to know
If you call from an Eddystone storefront or office, we drive out from Havertown and bring the tools and parts most commonly needed for commercial jobs: mortise wrenches, cylinder pin kits, replacement latches, long-throw deadbolts, reinforced strikes and door closer arms. While you wait it helps to secure the area for staff and customers, gather any keys, show the door and hardware to a staff member, and point out how the door is supposed to operate. If the door controls an alarm or access system, tell us about that when you call so we can bring compatible replacement parts.

Worth knowing
For an active facility we advise having a contact on site who can authorize work and hand over keys or access cards. We’ll need to know the door swing, whether the frame is metal or wood, and whether the lock is a cylindrical, mortise, or rim exit device. Typical fixes include replacing worn latches, swapping out corroded cylinders, reshimming closers, or installing a reinforced strike for a long-throw deadbolt. We work on storefronts, office suites and light industrial doors throughout Delaware County and nearby towns such as Chester, and we keep the conversation practical and focused on the hardware.
