What goes wrong
We handle the kind of commercial lock problems that stop a business from opening or secure areas from being accessed. We get calls about stuck mortise locks, cylinders that shear off, exit devices with broken dogging mechanisms, keypads that won’t respond, and master key cylinders that have been tampered with. On arrival we inspect the door, the lockset, the strike and the condition of the frame to find whether the problem is mechanical wear, misalignment, or damage from forced entry. We carry common replacement cylinders, exit device parts, and heavy-duty strikes for through-the-face repairs.

What the job involves
When work requires changing hardware we talk through the options in plain terms: whether to replace just the cylinder, swap the whole lockset, fit a reinforced strike, or install a new exit device or panic bar. We cut keys on site when possible and rekey cylinders to a new key if requested. For access control jobs we test the keypad and wiring, replace batteries or power modules, and, if needed, install a standalone keypad or an electric strike. In Berwyn we manage installations for storefronts, small offices, and service entrances.

Good to know
While we are on the way from Havertown you can secure the area and collect anything we’ll need to finish the job. We ask that you have an authorized representative present with proof of authority to approve work and sign off on replacements. If keys exist bring them, and if there’s a master key system note which cylinders should remain on that system. For access control, have power details or the installer’s contact for any networked controllers. If a door is damaged clear items away so hinges and the frame are accessible.

Worth knowing
For emergency repairs after a break-in we document the damage with photos and replace compromised cylinders, latches, and strikes to restore basic security. For routine commercial maintenance we inspect door closers, adjust latch alignment, tighten hinge and strike screws, and lubricate moving parts. We can upgrade heavy doors with longer-throw bolts or add a reinforced strike plate where the frame allows. We work throughout Chester County, including Berwyn and nearby Devon, and we always focus on getting the lock hardware functioning correctly so your business can operate.
