What goes wrong
Commercial doors in Chesterbrook give us a steady stream of problems we know how to fix: jammed exit devices, bent latchbolts, frozen cylinders, worn lever trim, access-control modules that won’t accept credentials, and electric strikes that have been forced or misaligned. We drive out from Havertown with cores, replacement cylinders, cutting gear and the parts most often needed for commercial hardware. When you call we tell you how soon we can come, and we’ll explain whether the job looks like a cylinder change, a rekey, or a replacement of an exit device or strike.

What the job involves
On site we start by inspecting the door, frame and strike, then test the existing cylinder, keyway and latch geometry. Typical work includes removing and replacing cylinder cores, pinning for a new key, cutting on-site keys, installing a keypad or reader, wiring an electric strike or adjusting a door closer so the latch fully engages a reinforced strike. For master keying we size and pin cores to match the system. If we need to run low-voltage wiring we bring the splices and terminals used in commercial door hardware.

Good to know
While you wait please have an authorized contact available, the door and frame unobstructed, and any existing keys or key lists ready. If there’s an alarm or access-control administrator please let them know we will be working on the lock so they can allow programming or disable signals while we test. Clear a path to the door and open it if you can; that saves us time on hinges and door stops. Someone on site should be prepared to sign off and accept the new keys or code changes.

Worth knowing
After the work we label any new keys, hand over spare cores or programming information, and leave the hardware operating as intended. We carry mortise cylinders, small-format interchangeable cores, heavy tubular latches, long-throw deadbolts, surface-mounted closers and reinforced strikes so we can match what the building already has or upgrade to a more robust mechanical option. If you’re in the Chesterbrook area we’ll return the documentation and spare keys to your on-site contact, and note any follow-up items that might make the doors perform better.
