The buildings and the hardware
Rittenhouse Square’s buildings put specific demands on hardware. Many doors are older solid-wood units with thicker stiles and mortise pockets rather than thin modern preps; others are multi-unit apartment doors with metal frames and narrow clearances. That mix means we often fit or repair mortise locks, replace or adapt cylinder locks, and work with higher-backset commercial hardware on storefronts or parlor-floor entrances. Longstanding doors may need custom strikes, longer screws, or shimmed strikes to align a deadbolt; apartment entry systems sometimes require keyed-alike solutions or master-key adjustments to fit building standards without changing the entire door.
