What people call about
People call us for the usual mix of lock and key problems: emergency locksmith work for locked-out homes, rekeys after moves, replacing worn or broken deadbolts and knob locks, mailbox and garage door locks, and lock repair after a forced entry. We also handle residential locksmith needs such as swapping out old cylinders, fitting new deadbolts, and installing privacy or keyed passage hardware. For cars we take calls for vehicle lockouts and car key replacement, including cutting and programming replacements. If a lock is sticking, a key is broken off, or a cylinder spins, that’s what customers bring us to solve on site.

The buildings and the hardware
The building stock in this area tends to influence the hardware we see. Older houses often have wood doors with mortise or rim cylinders and solid brass or steel hardware; their frames can be soft or have been trimmed down, which affects strike reinforcement and latch alignment. Newer multifamily units and smaller apartment buildings commonly use bored cylindrical locks, light-gauge metal doors, or slab interior doors with hollow cores, which call for different screws, longer strikes, or reinforced plates. Storefronts and commercial entries use aluminum frames and commercial-grade locks, sometimes with exit devices or keyed storefront cylinders, and those need different tools and replacement parts than a typical residential door.

The car side
On the vehicle side the work has shifted a lot over the years. Older cars come with single, uncut metal keys that we duplicate on the spot and simple mechanical locks that open with a manual pick. Modern vehicles increasingly require a programmed transponder chip, remote fobs, or proximity systems; those replacements need key cutting plus on-board programming equipment and, sometimes, access to a dealer-level protocol. We do car lockout service that avoids damaging trims or broken windows, and we supply and program car key replacements and fobs for many models, bringing the necessary machines to the van.

How we work
We are a strictly mobile locksmith: there is no shop counter, and every job is done wherever the lock is. Our van carries the cutters, key blanks, pick sets, and parts needed to do residential locksmith work, emergency locksmith service, car lockout responses, and car key replacement at your doorstep or in your parking spot. When you call we’ll tell you candidly how soon a technician can leave for the job; we don’t promise an arrival time over the phone. The person who comes works the lock there and then, with the tools and parts on board.
