What goes wrong
We get calls about doors that won’t open, keys that snap off in the cylinder, deadbolts that won’t retract, and panic bars that jam. In an emergency we drive out from Havertown with the tools to diagnose the hardware and secure the opening. When you call from Kenilworth tell us whether the problem is a lost key, a broken key, or a lock that feels stuck; that helps us bring the right blanks and parts. We do every job where the lock sits, at your door or on your vehicle.

What the job involves
Typical emergency work is a mix of delicate and brute force techniques. We pick or manipulate pin stacks when the keyway will allow it, extract broken key pieces with picks and carbide extractors, and remove failing cylinders to replace or rekey them. For battered doors we fit longer-throw deadbolts or replace latch assemblies, and we can reinforce strike plates with longer screws into the frame. We only drill cylinders when the lock is irreparable, and then we fit a working replacement.

Good to know
While you wait, secure the scene and keep children and pets away from the door. Look for any spare keys you might have left at another property or with a neighbor and have photo ID and proof of ownership ready for the vehicle or residence we’re working on. Clear the area around the lock so we have room to work, and if the door hardware is damaged by a forced entry consider contacting the police first. If you’re in Kenilworth let us know whether the problem is on a front entry, side door, garage door, or a vehicle.

Worth knowing
We carry replacement cylinders, key blanks, pinning kits for rekeys, portable key-cutting gear, picks, extractors, and a range of strike plates and deadbolts. Our vans are set up as mobile workshops so we can cut keys and build a temporary secure solution on site, then follow with a more permanent repair if you want it. We work across Delaware and Chester County and into nearby towns like Pottstown if needed. Call us and tell us what’s wrong; we’ll tell you what we can do for that lock.
