What goes wrong
Commercial doors in Valley Township and surrounding business parks fail in a few familiar ways: keys shear off in worn cylinders, latchbolts ride up on a warped strike, exit devices bind after heavy use, and keypad readers lose power or forget programming. We see broken trim, hollow metal doors with ripped receiver holes, and electric strikes with corroded contacts. When an access control panel faults it usually shows as dead locks or intermittent release. We explain the visible fault and the mechanical cause before we start swapping parts so you know what we’re fixing.

What the job involves
On arrival we diagnose the door and lock as a system: cylinder, mortise or rim hardware, strike and door frame, closer, and any electrified components. We drill only when a non-destructive option won’t work, we rekey or replace cores, change out cylinders, install a longer throw deadbolt, reinforce the strike with longer screws and a steel plate, or wire up a new reader and power supply for an electric latch. For master key work we map the keying levels and cut stamped or restricted keys on site, then test every door we touched.

Good to know
While you’re waiting for us to drive out from Havertown you can secure the area and keep staff away from the affected door so we can work safely. If there’s a temporary way to funnel traffic to another entrance, post someone to direct customers; if not, clear the immediate space so we can lay out parts and tools. Have someone available who can confirm ownership or authorization for the door and point to any existing keys, key tags, or a current key schedule; that speeds our decision about rekeying versus cylinder replacement.

Worth knowing
Before we begin it helps when you have a list of doors and the hardware on them, any existing key codes or stamped keyways, and whether doors are hollow metal, wood or aluminum. Bring any spare cores, master key lists, or the original access control credentials if you have them. We work across Delaware, Chester, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties and in Valley Township we handle exit device adjustments, door closer rebuilds, electric strike repairs and full rekey or master key installs, then test each opening to make sure latches and egress operate smoothly.
