What goes wrong
Commercial locks in storefronts and offices fail in ways that are practical and fixable: keyways get worn, cylinders bind, mortise locks stop retracting, and exit devices foul up from heavy use. We replace or rekey cylinders, remove broken keys from cylinders, and rebuild mortise trims so the bolt and latch operate smoothly. We work on exit devices and panic bars, short-throw and long-throw deadbolts, reinforced strikes, and surface-mounted closers. If you have a glass storefront with a lock rail, we can service the rail and the keyed hardware so the door seats reliably.

What the job involves
When a panic bar jams or a keypad won’t accept codes, the immediate priority is keeping people safe and maintaining egress. While we work, clear the door area and, if practical, use an alternate entrance that stays controlled. We can temporarily secure a door with a heavy-duty bar or install a reinforcement plate on the strike if the frame needs support. When you call, we’ll tell you the first time we can come and what to expect us doing on arrival, so you can get staff and managers coordinated.

Good to know
For access control and keypads we check wiring to the lock, the power supply and the lock hardware itself: the solenoid, the drive, the latch assembly and the strike alignment. For master key systems we catalog the existing cylinders, cut master pins where appropriate, and label new keys to the system hierarchy you set. Have on hand any existing keying data, door schedules, and the keys you want replaced or entered into the system. If an access control panel or reader has been damaged, bring available manuals or photos of the wiring if you can.

Worth knowing
We travel from Havertown to jobs across Delaware, Montgomery and Chester counties, and we handle commercial sites in Springfield as part of that run. Before we arrive, designate someone with authority to approve work and, if a door will be taken apart, have a copy of the lease or a note from property management if access is restricted. We leave a clear inventory of parts installed and the keys or codes issued at the end of the job, and we test every lock and exit device in the door before we consider the task complete.
