What goes wrong
We handle the usual failures that shut a business down: cylinders that stick from heavy use, mortise locks with broken tails or cam links, exit devices where the latch has sheared or the center case has worn, and keypads that stop responding because of corrosion or battery failure. We work on storefront doors, aluminum frames, hollow-metal fire doors, and wood doors with reinforced strikes. If you call from Newtown Square, we drive out from Havertown ready to assess what failed and what parts are needed to restore secure, reliable operation.

What the job involves
When we arrive we diagnose the mechanism: whether a cylinder needs rekeying, a mortise case needs a replacement tailpiece, an exit device needs a new dogging cam, or an electronic lock requires a new power feed or keypad module. We can remove a broken key, replace a threaded lock cylinder, change out a rim or mortise lock, and swap levers or panic bars. Our work includes adjusting door closers and aligning strikes so the latch has a full throw into a reinforced keeper.

Good to know
While you wait for us to arrive, secure the area and keep employees and customers away from the door that’s not functioning. If the problem affects an egress door or an entry used by staff, post a temporary route and, when possible, keep any cash drawers, safes and cabinets locked. Have a copy of the building’s keying plan or any existing keys available if you can; if you don’t have keys, have someone who knows how doors are normally used describe the issue and which doors are critical to business flow in Newtown Square or nearby.

Worth knowing
For installations and upgrades we lay out the physical parts and the steps: cut and fit a new cylinder, mortise a case to accept a different latch, drill and tap strikes for longer screws into the framing, run low-voltage for access control or replace the battery pack in a keypad. We also set up master keying when required, keeping cylinder numbers and key changes documented for your records. If you’re in Broomall, Easttown Township, or Radnor Township and need commercial lock work, we’ll come from Havertown and get to work on the hardware where it is.
